Been really busy with life!

Went to the lake, had a reunion, went to the lake, squeezed in a few days of work and here I am!

Leech lake 2007

Me sailing my boat

6 people of 10

Four girls we found wondering around on a deserted island in the Caribbean. Of course we had to let them sail back with us to mainland... They did try to take over the ship, after a brief power struggle they decided it was to much work, and found great pleasure and contentment in lounging around the boat getting sunburned.

I tried to zoom in on the picture to read her journal, but its all blurry...

(I had planned a few other pics, but the dumb thing quite uploading... so they will just appear soon.)

We got home from the lake and found out my Dads Dad Alvin was dying. He ended up dying on 7-11-2007  at 2:00 pm. He was saved, so we are rejoicing the fact that he is in heaven, but are sad to have him gone from us. He would have been 94 in August.

We are very busy with all the funeral prep stuff, and getting in work on the farm. I will not post again for a while.

To whom it may concern

Despite popular rumors, I have not dropped off the face of the “Planet”.

I have not plunged into an abyss, or found myself lost in the vast and breathtaking diverse countryside of ND. I have indeed kept a low profile.  As you can perceive if you glance at my posting History, I am being my unwavering self. Big long silent gaps, followed by a few entries that are trailed by extended eras of unfathomable unarticulated contemplation.

In other words, I am busy working and am neglecting this blog like usual!

The weather has warmed up, I have some ground planted, and will be working on the rest as soon as the flood waters recede.

I am told that I will be taking my sail boat out for a voyage some weekend soon. And it appears I will be very busy all summer. (like I am all fall winter and spring).

I will post some pictures of my planting and tilling equipment some day. Right now everything is dusty and muddy, so the wax job is not noticeable anymore…

I have to jet! But following some profound think’n I will post yet again.

I have been keeping very busy this winter. Between work and pleasure I could not jam in another moment. It has been very interesting, and I have learned a lot. One thing I learned is that I broke my collar bone and AC joint in my shoulder. In the process I bent and twisted my collar bone, then broke it in half…. So that explains the pain I was in from August till now… No worries, the bone set fine all by itself, and they would not have been able to straighten it even if I had gone in right away. Waiting six months the way I did allowed it to heal up before I knew it was busted. I am doing some therapy to get my rotator cup muscles back in shape. How did I manage to wreck my shoulder… Good question if I knew I had wrecked it, I would have gone in. I had an accident while tearing down some old irrigation equipment. In the process one of the towers was yanked downwards and over about 8 feet, and then instantly stopped. I was hanging on to the top of the tower with one arm, and thrown around the side about 45 degrees. Must have been a bad angle. I don’t remember any huge pain at the time, but a week later I recall working on my truck and my shoulder killing me, and my shoulder killing me for a few months…  then it got better, then I used it to hard, and it was hurting real bad again. Then it got better and I hurt it again… Now it sounds like Rice Crispys. My friend Michael was up there with me, thankfully he was not hurt. He was on the opposite side of the tower, and wasn’t flung around.

In other news. My family is healthy, winter has gone well. Spring is coming fast, even though we just received 12 inches of snow in the last 24 hours.

Last week I drove to Big Sky Montana with some friends from church to ski. Had lots of fun! Weather was good for the most part, skiing was great! Food was awesome!

Have a great Sunday!

(the truck is not mine, I am just dreaming again)

Coming Soon to This Blog...

An Update is coming up. Stay tuned.

Hello!

I decided it was high time to conjure up another post. Then I wondered if one should even use the phrase conjure up. At this point I decided that this topic (the phrase “conjure up”) would be as good as any other topic for this post. But the new plan posed a quandary. My original intention for this post was to make a swift showing to provide evidence that I was… I mean, that I am, alive and in good health. Being that I like to be a perfectionist (not that I am) I decided I would have to do some research into the real meaning of the phase, and the uses through the centuries. I realized that this could be a time consuming post, and knowing me, I would turn it into a production that not even a History Channel 2 hour special could equivalent. Then I realized my word usage is horrible, not to mention the fact that I can not spell worth a hill of beans, and therefore I would have to read through my grammar book. After spending a whole day reading that, I would find I need to retake High School English. After all that I would attempt to CLEP a few college level English classes. Meanwhile my compilation of the history of “Conjure up” would launch me filming a mini series. I of course would have to purchase at least one high definition digital video camera, a new Apple Book Pro with the new-fangled Intel Core 2 Duo complete with Apple Final Cut Pro. This thought made me smile! I could use this new equipment to film a spy movie I had been thinking about. Then my mind raced to stolen Nuclear reaction technology, Black Market dealers, back Alley meetings, murders, double agents, government officials, car chases, gun battles, voter fraud (where did that come from?) a super sonic scram jet race that has our hero and evil villain skimming the earths atmosphere setting new speed records in an all out race whose outcome would decide the fate of Liberty and Democracy, and potentially obliterate the USA (and the hero’s sweetheart who is held hostage by Terrorist)!

Then my mom knocked on my door, and I realized I used up all the time I had set aside for this post.

Sorry gang! You will have to wait a few years to see that movie. As for the mini series, I just don’t see the profit margins. But it is safe to say that using phrases that have to do with bringing people back from the dead through the use of sorcery is a bad idea.

It’s time for me to hit the trail!
